Why Should I Attend ISDC?

It’s a party and everyone’s invited! We welcome dancers of all ages, races, and dance ability levels. ISDC is dedicated to the preservation of Urban Swing Dancing, while inspiring a new generation of swing dancers through mind-blowing classes, electrifying competitions and amazing social dances. There is tons of social dancing and great performances and competitions to watch, so something for everyone!

Do I need a partner?

Not at all! Most people come with out a partner. We rotate partners in workshops every few minutes so you get a chance to learn with multiple people. And in the social dance periods, it is perfectly acceptable to ask others to dance.

Are group rates available?

We love groups! There is no better way to experience ISDC than by sharing all the fun with your close friends. We have had groups from all over the US. So get your friends together and experience the joy of ISDC! Groups must consist of 8 or more dancers. Discounts only apply to Full Weekend Passes. Contingent on space availability Group organizers must provide a list of names to set up discount. Please email info@theISDC.com for more information.

How can non-participants watch the ISDC? Can we get tickets?

We do not offer ‘Spectator’s Only’ passes. We have weekend, day, and evening passes for sale online and on-site for anyone that wants to attend ISDC at any point during the weekend. For a full listing of all passes and pricing options please visit our Registration page. Online registration will close the Monday prior to the event weekend. But passes can be purchased at the door with at-door pricing. Learn more on the Registration page.

I am 17 years old. Do you have a junior's rate for ISDC?

Yes, we do. You can purchases a Juniors pass for $89 online or at the door. All Juniors must have a signed waiver by a parent or guardian. Please contact Iris Lancaster at imlancaster@yahoo.com or Lakeyta Stewart at lakeyta.stewart@gmail.com for all information on the ILHC Youth Program.

My significant other is coming to watch me compete. What kind of tickets are available for spectators?

We will have Day & Evening passes available online and at the door. However, it would be more cost effective to purchase a weekend pass now than to buy passes for everyday of the event.
